Content Tracking
Content tracking is a feature of MVMCloud Analytics designed to show the effectiveness of specific pieces of content in generating interactions on any page of your website or application. You may be wondering how often a specific ad or banner was displayed and viewed by your visitors on any of your pages and how often a visitor actually interacted with them. We call these two parts content impression and content interaction. Comparing these two metrics allows us to generate an interaction rate.
This feature is not limited to just ads or banners and can help you discover the most popular placements and variations. effective for any of your content. After a page loads, we record a content impression for each block of content visible to the user. A content block consists of a content name (My Product 1), a content piece ("product1.jpg" or "Buy product 1 now") and a content destination (http://landingpage.example.com). As soon as a visitor clicks on a content block, a content interaction is recorded, allowing you to analyze the ratio of content impressions to content interactions. As soon as a visitor scrolls down the page and sees more ads/banners/blocks, We automatically record the printing of each block.
How do I track impressions, clicks and CTR of graphic banners and/or internal banners or text ads?
MVMCloud Analytics provides powerful, easy-to-use functionality designed to help you measure how many times a piece of content was seen by its users and how many times it was clicked. We call this feature Content Tracking. The tracking content tells you how often a specific ad or banner was displayed on any of your pages and how How often a visitor actually interacted with them. We call these two parts content impression and content interaction. This feature is not limited to just ads or banners. You can use it for any type of content.
Content tracking reports let you see:
– How many times a given ad was viewed by users (when it became visible in the browser) – How many times a particular ad was clicked on – The clicks/views ratio, ie. the likelihood that a user will click on the ad after seeing it.
How does this work? After a page loads, we record a content impression for each content block (ad block) within that page, each consisting of a content name (e.g. “Sunset Poster”), a piece of content (“produto853.jpg” or “Buy Product 1 now”) and a content destination (http://banner-url). As soon as a visitor clicks on a content block, a content interaction is recorded, allowing you to analyze the ratio of content impressions to content interactions.
By default, Content tracking does not track the location of the page banner. We do not inform whether the advertisement was displayed at the top or bottom. To learn even more about how your page is used in general and how your banners are clicked in general, check out heatmap reports. You can create a heatmap for a given page and then can visually see how many people scrolled to a particular ad, how many moved their mouse about the ad, how many clicked on a particular ad, etc.
