Custom Alerts (Premium Feature)
Custom alerts keep you up to date with what's happening on your site without having to check your data every day. With custom alerts, you can configure any report to alert you when certain conditions are or are not met.
Alerts are a great way to get notified about changes to your or your client's website. Want to know if your new product achieves less than 100 sales in a week or if your new article attracts more than 200 visitors per day? Create alerts that do meaning to you. Get notified via email or SMS when the conditions for your alerts are met. Stay on top of your website!
Alerts are divided into two types: email and SMS. Just as for sending email it is necessary to configure an external SMTP server, you have done this when you configured MVMCloud Analytics. For SMS you need to have an account with one of the following providers: Twilio, ClickWork or ASPSMS. These providers may change over time.

Managing your custom alerts
To manage your custom alerts:
- Click on “Administration” (⚙️ gear icon in the top right corner)
- Click on the “Personal” menu on the left of the Control Panel, and then click on the “Alerts” menu and the “Create Alert” button:
- Choose a name for your report, for which site configured in MVMCloud Analytics this report should be applied, the frequency the report should be sent, and to which emails it should be sent:
- The frequency can be:
- Day - Sent every day around midnight;
- Week - Sent every Monday around midnight;
- Month - Sent on the 1st of the month around midnight.
- To whom to send:
- If you want to receive the report, check the Send to me box. The report will be sent to your email configured in the system;
- Below you can enter as many emails as you want, one per line.
- If sending by SMS is part of your contracted MVMCloud plan and you have configured the SMS provider you will use, you can inform the cell phones who will receive the alert. If you have not yet configured the SMS service, you can do so by clicking on the link in the message. See How to configure mobile messaging service.
- Choose the report under “Alert Condition” that you would like to monitor.
What you should know about the alert condition
The Alert Condition section is considered one of the important sections of the Custom Alert configuration, where a report that needs to be monitored can be specified. There are over 70 reports to choose from (see our Reports List for the complete list of reports).
